Our Curriculum Approach

Co-created by a women's health nurse practitioner and a child-education specialist, our program pairs medical accuracy with kid-friendly storytelling. We use correct anatomical terms, but every concept is unpacked in plain language, so even the grown-ups leave knowing something new. By giving families a shared vocabulary, we break the stigma around puberty and periods, and turn an often-awkward talk into a confidence-building conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our content, purchasing options, and video access.

Our content is designed for children ages 8-14, though it's appropriate for anyone learning about periods for the first time. The language and approach are age-appropriate while being medically accurate and comprehensive.
Yes, we use inclusive language that acknowledges not everyone who has a period identifies as a girl or woman. Our approach recognizes that periods are a biological function that can be experienced by people of various gender identities.
Our curriculum was developed by Al Zonsius, RN, MSN, a women's health nurse practitioner and midwife with over 10 years of experience working with children and families. All content is regularly updated to ensure accuracy and vetted by a child education specialist.
The main educational video is approximately 15 minutes long. It covers all essential topics about puberty and periods in an engaging, conversational format. Having tested an hour long video, we found that 15 minutes is the perfect length to cover all the material in a way that is easy to understand and engaging for children.
While we don't offer a full preview, we provide detailed information about the curriculum topics directly above this section. If you find that the content is not appropriate for your needs, please get in touch with us to discuss options.
After purchase, you'll have 7 days of access from the time you first view the video. This gives you plenty of time to watch it multiple times or with different family members as needed.
No, the video is available through secure streaming only and cannot be downloaded. This helps us protect our intellectual property while keeping costs affordable.
We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay through our secure payment processor, Stripe.
If you're not satisfied with the content, please contact us for a full refund. We want you to be happy with your purchase.
Our period kit is designed for your child's backpack so they're ready when the big day comes, and includes teen-sized pads, a period journal, handheld mirror, moist wipes, and a card to give their teacher when the day comes and your child needs to be excused to the restroom. The kit is intentionally non-descript so that your child can use it without feeling embarrassed.
Your purchase is for use within your household. The video access link is tied to your account and should not be shared outside your immediate family.
While the video is great for families, we find that for schools and organizations, a live presentation is more effective, whether that be in person or through a virtual platform. Please contact us for more information.
